A busy little French tune for busy Parisien dogs: Chien (Saska & Helene Bohy)
Dogs everywhere love to spend time with their humans.
The dogs of Paris are very happy in that way
And very busy.
They go nearly everywhere - shops, cafes, bistrots, bars, workplaces
Trotting along with their owner, waiting patiently while they chat
Or maybe riding on a motor scooter or a bicycle or in a car
Always well-behaved and on their leash or even in a little bag.
Shopping and socialising on Rue Montorgueil
- a story everywhere you look, and les chiens are part of it.
For many years there was also a big problem with all these dogs -
The caca problem!
Too much chien-caca on the footpaths!
Paris has lovely parks large and small - but often dogs are Not Allowed.
Now if you allow your dog to poo on the footpath and don't clean it up, you risk a 450 Euro fine.
But of course, like all criminal activity, it still goes on.
Here is a lady walking her two lively dogs on Rue Saint-Sauveur. And then ...
Oh la la! Not again? Clearly she is displeased - but she has her plastic bag at the ready!
Merde indeed! ... but she will not get fined.

Finally, we present the living cliche, the postcard moment: the actual French Poodle
... and truly this was in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, at the Champ de Mars.
